DESCRIPTION

Playa Zancudo is located in the southwestern area Costa Rica near the border with Panama. It's a wild and untamed region of Central America where abundant wildlife still exists. Zancudo is a small Tico village catering to the few tourists that make it into or travel through this region. There is a large river on one side of the peninsula and a 6 mile long beach on the other side.

This charming loft house is surrounded by lush tropical flowers and trees. It has large shutters and screened windows to let in the ocean breeze. The downstairs has a full kitchen with dinette, bathroom and indoor shower, and day bed.

Outside is a concrete privacy shower, where you can shower with the birds and monkeys. A Mirador deck looks out towards the Pacific Ocean just 50 meters away. The pristine beach stretches for miles and the jungle setting is full of rare birds, monkeys, sloths and butterflies that surround this home. The house is located within walking distance of bars, restaurants, a grocery store and a couple of small beach resorts.

The vacation home is in a great area to "base" your vacation and then take time to explore the region. Zancudo is a 45 minute boat ride away from the famed Osa Peninsula, a beautiful orchid farm, and a fun Wildlife Rescue Center. Shopping trips to the duty free shopping at the Panama border or the city of David,Panama are only an hour away by private car. Great surfing is everywhere and the fishing is some of the best in the world. Numerous world records have been set from the waters around Playa Zancudo and Golfito.
